The Steps Of Breast Reduction Anchorage

By Karina Frost

Some women who are born with large sized busts would often want to reduce them a little bit because they can hurt a bit because of the weight. Now just to give people an idea of how this works, one will have some of the excess tissues in her breasts removed. Now this process is known as breast reduction Anchorage and it would minimize the size and the weight of breasts so that one will not have such a hard time lifting them up.

Now if one is a beginner in this type of surgery, the doctors will have to brief the patient on how the procedure will go. Of course before anything else, the nurses must do some tests on the patient to make sure that her body is capable of going through with the operation. From there, she has to go through a six hour fast before the operation.

Now when the doctor already briefed the patient, the patient will then decide how much reducing she would want. From there, she would be telling the doctor how much fat she would want taken from her breasts. Now once that is already done, then the doctor will mark the areas that will taken out.

Once the preparations are already done, then the next step would be the actual operation. Now do take note that the operation may take up to around three hours but it may take longer if the job that has to be done is a big one. Basically, the doctors will remove the excess fat on the lower area of the breast and will be pushing the nipples up higher.

Of course this will actually leave a wound on the area where the excess fat was once. In order to cover it up, the doctors would stitch it up so that the newly operated breasts will stay in place. Once the operation is done, then the patient is brought to a recovery room to rest and recover.

Now do take note that the patients would usually be discharged the same day as they are operated but some would stay a night or two. Of course they are given painkillers regularly in the day so that the wound will not hurt. Of course a special type of support bra will be recommended by the doctors so that the patient will be more comfortable.

Now after the operation, one should expect her breasts to be sore for a while. Now because of this, she should refrain from doing any exercise or lifting anything that is heavy otherwise the wound will open up again. Now one will just wait probably a month before everything will go back to normal.

In general, it will take around fourteen days before one can be able to go back to work. However, she should also be careful when she goes back to work since the wounds and the stitches are actually still quite fresh. After another few weeks, everything should be back to normal and one can resume with all the daily rituals and routines of her life.
